Working hard is not just working "hard"

Today I worked at Donovan's grandpa's house. It was one of the hardest day I have worked in my whole life. We hauled rocks across the yards, dug the gardens and all kinds of crazy stuff.
For some people, they may say: "That's nothing, duh." But one thing I have learned from the Scripture we studied this year: "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men", (Colosians 3:23, NIV) told me that working hard is no good without the right heart. Many work just because they have to so they say they are not going to do it with all their hearts. Wrong. Does the Scripture say: "Whatever you like to do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men." No it does not. Clearly it is "whatever you do" and needless to be described: everything.
And why? Why do we have to do that? Paul also told us about that too in the next verse: "since you know that you will receive an inheritence from the Lord as a reward, it is the Lord Christ you are serving.", (Colosians 3:24, NIV) That means we will share part of the kingdom of God when it is time. Wow!! It is as easy as that, just work wholeheartedly.
Working is not about how difficult the work is, not about the skills you need to do the work, and certainly not about the amount of work you do. It is about your heart. It is all about the attitude of humbling yourself to be a servant, just like Jesus Christ, who never did anything half-heartedly, who completely humbled himself to be a human and died, not because he had to, but because he loves us.
